Kendriya Vidyalaya Railway Gandhidham was started in the year 1988. It serves the educational needs of the employees of BSF, CISF, Army, KPT and Railways. The school is housed in an L shaped beautiful building on a sprawling fourteen acre land provided by the Railways. It is a A-O type schools. One section up to class X only and enjoys an enviable reputation for the stringent quality education it imparts. Though the schools comprises of students from very ordinary socio-economic background, it has not lagged behind. With the sustained, whole hearted efforts of its dedicated staff, the school has kept up the pace on par with schools in cities. Our Mission
KVS has a four fold mission viz:-To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
