On behalf of the entire family of Kendriya Vidyalaya Railway Gandhidham, once again I extend you a very warm welcome to the Annual Day Celebration of the Vidyalaya.


This year, we are celebrating the 26th Annual Day of this glorious Kendriya Vidyalaya.


Today, I take the privilege to present the Annual Report of the Vidyalaya highlighting the major achievements, events and vision for the future.



The internal result of the Vidyalaya for the session 2013-14 was remarkably good. In Home Examination the pass percentage was 100%. In the Board Examination class X and XII result was 100% and our Vidyalaya awarded a trophy from the Deputy Commissioner, KVS (AR) in Principal Conference.

In class X, 4 students Master Angad Singh Minhas, Master Chandan Rajak, Master Naveen Rai and Ms Chhaya Bhadoriya scored 10 CGPA and were awarded with a cash amount of Rs. 5000/- each from KVS.

In class XII, Miss Monika M scored 91.4% and Master Amir scored 91% both from Commerce Stream. Subject wise number of students who scored more than 90 marks in different subjects are: 02 in English, 02 in Hindi, 05 in Informatics Practices, 02 in Accountancy, 02 in Economics, 06 in Business Studies.  Master Amir of class XII Commerce scored 97 marks in Business Studies.

We are sure that we will produce 100% result for this session also.



KVS all over India have taken up Common Minimum Programme (CMP) for primary students to make teaching-learning process more meaningful in primary classes. Now Activity Based teaching is preferred instead of old monotonous chalk and talk method. Under CMP, Cluster Level Sports and Cultural Meets are also organised this year.


Mini Sports Day was conducted in the school. Our students participated in various events. Exhibition and Fancy Dress Competition was held on Children’s Day.  Besides this a ‘Craft Mela’ of primary wing was also organised by the students.


As you all are aware that we are celebrating ‘Swatchch Bharat Abhiyaan’ in our country. So the same mission is launched as ‘Swatchch Vidyalaya Abhiyaan’ by KVS in all KVs. In view of this mission, the Vidyalaya has also organised this abhiyaan with the help of students and teachers.


This year Children Day was also celebrated for a week as ‘Bal Swachta Mission’ programme. Various activities were performed under the following themes :

·        Clean school/surrounding/play area.

·        Clean food

·        Clean self

·        Clean drinking water

·        Clean toilets

Dr. Chetan Vohra delivered a lecture on the significance of personal hygiene in the assembly. All students felt motivated towards their cleaning after his live talk.


CCA (Co-Curricular Activities)

Under CCA, various Inter House competitions have been conducted like Calligraphy, Poem-Recitation, Debate, Rakhi , Rangoli making, Group Dance, Group Song, Fancy Dress, Extempore speech etc.


We have celebrated all important days in the Vidyalaya like Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, National Education Day, World AIDS Day, KVS Foundation Day etc. This year we have also celebrated Sanskrit Saptah and Hindi Pakhwada and conducted a number of programmes during the events for students as well as teachers.



Our Vidyalaya is a centre for CBSE Board Examinations also and students of almost all CBSE affiliated schools of Gandhidham like KV IFFCO, KPS, Atmiya Vidyapeeth, Kidzee, Calorx SEZ Mundra appear in Class X and XII Board examinations from this centre. Last year about 220 students of Class X and Class XII appeared from this centre. This is a big and heavy assignment given to us by CBSE, RO Ajmer and we have successfully conducted with the co-operation of dedicated Staff Members.



Under the guidance of Sh. Pankaj Singh, 8 students appeared in National Cyber Olympiad. Sukant Mittal of class XII has been placed 121st rank in State, Deepesh Jha of class XII placed 181st rank, Azhar Ansari of class XI placed 220th, Satyam Singh of class X placed 354th, and Zaheen of class IV placed 248th rank.

The Vidyalaya has also conducted NSO and IEO. The result is awaited.


07 students of this Vidyalaya also participated in Jr. Maths Olympiad conducted by KVS.

20 students also appeared in Science Olympiad conducted by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) Pune.



Cluster Level Social Science was held at KV IFFCO Gandhidham. Under the guidance of Mrs. Mridula Minhas, Mr. Tushar Solanki, Mrs Dipti Pandya, Dr. Shanno Tiwari, Mr. Rajkumar Ghasia & Mr. Bhagirath ram, students were prepared and participated in all events. Two charts and two exhibits were selected for Regional and National Level. Two students were selected for regional level, one for project explanation and one for debate.



The year 2014 can be considered as a year of great achievements in the field of games and sports. In absence of regular PET, under the guidance of Mr. Bharat Parihar (sports coach) 84 students participated at Cluster Level Sports in Badminton, Table Tennis, Kho-kho, Cricket, Chess and Kabbaddi. 68 students were selected for Regional Level. After passing through the tough competition, 06 students (3 Boys & 3 Girls) selected for National Level Games. We have also conducted Cluster Level Chess. 



As a part of live education, our school conducted local excursion under the efficient leadership of Mr. Lalit Tanwar.

Students from classes VI to X visited Bhuj Museum, Aaina Mahal, Hill garden and Parle-G plant. The students of classes XI and XII visited Vijay Vilas Palace Mandvi, Ambe Dham, Bhuj Museum, Hill Garden and Bhujodi.



Updating knowledge and skill is a continuous process in KVS. In this practice training programme and workshop for Principal and Teachers are often organised. This year Sh. Pankaj Singh (PGT-CS) has attended 02 days workshop on ECTLT at KV Sector 30, Gandhinagar in the month of April 2014, then he conducted the same as Resource Person at KV no. 1 AFS, Bhuj.


Mr. Lalit Tanwar, Mrs. Sonam Sharma, Mrs. Girija Sharma, Ms Chhaya Parmar also attended 02 days workshop on e-CTLT at KV AFS Bhuj.


Mr. Raj Kumar Ghasia (PGT Hindi) attended In-Service Course at Indore. Mrs. Pratibha Mehta, Mrs. Mini Rajan and Mrs. Dipti Pandya also attended In-Service Course for PRTs at KV Sabarmati.


This year KVS has introduced a course named CPPDPT (certificate programme for professional development of primary teachers) under a collaboration with IGNOU. Mr. Bhagirath Ram conducted workshop of CPPDPT as an academic counsellor.


Mrs. Dipti Pandya, Mrs. Vinita Sharma and Ms. Chhaya Parmar also participated in this course & work-shop as participants.
